Kimberly Aponte Borden

Kimberly Aponte Borden is a former prosecutor now specializing in all aspects of personal injury, including mass tort, pharmaceutical drug product liability, and class actions matters.

Kimberly attended Temple University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, summa cum laude in 1991. While at Temple, she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society for her excellence in liberal arts. She then attended Boston University where she received her Juris Doctor Degree.

Kimberly joined Sheller, P.C. in 2006 after practicing commercial and construction litigation in Philadelphia for several years, where she served as a plaintiff’s counsel in the Tropicana Casino Garage Collapse Litigation. Her prior experience as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, PA included litigating to verdict over 1,000 felony, misdemeanor and civil drug forfeiture trials. Kimberly has been frequently recognized for her court performance and success rates.  Her passion for representing victims of crimes has continued in her representation of injured individuals in civil personal injury litigation practice.  Kimberly now successfully litigates Sheller, P.C.'s Risperdal, Amanda and Levaquin cases, Toyota sudden unintended acceleration (SUA) wrongful death and consumer class action matters, and the firm's Live Stop civil rights class action litigation.

Kimberly was selected a Super Lawyer in 2014 - 2018. Super Lawyers is a rating service of the top 5% of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.

Kimberly is admitted to the bars of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the State of New Jersey.

Kimberly is a member of the Justinian Society, an organization comprised of attorneys and judges of Italian ancestry, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice.

As a devoted animal lover, Kimberly provides pro bono legal services to Green Street Rescue, a charitable organization devoted to saving and improving the lives of stray and homeless cats in Philadelphia.
