Sheller attorneys announce that five Risperdal cases have been settled for confidential amounts. “Our clients are very pleased,” Steve Sheller, a plaintiffs’ attorney, said in a Bloomberg report after the settlement was announced. “I’ll never be truly satisfied because of what happened here with these kids. It’s a sad commentary on what goes on with prescription drugs and their use in children.” Sheller, P.C. had introduced an expert report from former FDA Chief David Kessler stating that J&J broke the law marketing Risperdal; J&J had tried to block the report prior to deciding to settle. The first Risperdal lawsuit with a Sheller client was also settled.
