Lauren A. Sheller’s practice focuses on product liability, personal injury and whistleblower qui tam litigation.  Ms. Sheller brings a talent for writing and litigation preparation.  She has experience managing and representing clients in litigation and appellate contexts involving complex mass tort, personal injury and consumer class actions in federal multidistrict and state court coordinated proceedings.  She frequently practices in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas’ Complex Litigation Mass Tort Program and has handled actions in courts around the country.

Prior to joining Sheller P.C., Lauren worked as an associate at Duane Morris, LLP where she regularly represented and advised global companies in a wide variety of contexts, including complex consumer class actions, investigations by governmental agencies, product liability litigation, RICO claims, TCPA claims, contract disputes and diverse common-law claims.

Ms. Sheller received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.  During law school, she served as an associate editor for the Journal of International Law.  Previously interning for the United States Attorney’s office in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Ms. Sheller authored a report on sex trafficking which was used to train law enforcement for the purposes of creating a regional task force.  While in law school, Ms. Sheller interned for Judge Anne Lazarus on the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.  She also worked for Judge Sandra Mazer Moss on the Court of Common Pleas where she aided the court in organizing and administering thousands of mass tort cases.

With an undergraduate degree from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and past experience working for companies such as Diane Von Furstenberg, Lauren brings a new vision and creativity to the practice of law.  Her ability to synthesize complex information and data is key to the success of a case.  From her background as a creative artist, she sees complex issues and has a unique perspective on how to view and build a case.

Ms. Sheller takes a keen interest in pro bono matters, demonstrating a commitment to public interest litigation and community involvement.  More recently, Ms. Sheller obtained a remand in an appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit seeking relief for a Brazilian citizen from deportation under the Convention Against Torture (CAT), ultimately leading the client to achieve lawful immigration status.  Ms. Sheller also successfully obtained lawful permit residency for a domestic violence survivor under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).

Ms. Sheller serves on the Board of The Sheller Family Foundation and has been an integral member administering the funds for the benefit of education, social needs, and social justice, including helping to establish the Stephen and Sandra Sheller Center for Social Justice and Temple University Beasley School of Law. She is a native of the Philadelphia area and currently resides in Center City with her husband, whom she met while they were both in law school.
